I've heard alot about their colour products. But can I just use the conditioner lets say twice a week.I want a mild highlight.I don't think I want to get the shampoo if the purpose is just to preserve the colour.

yes, absolutely. you can use the conditioner on it's own, without the shampoo. the more often you use the conditioner, the stronger the color effect. so gauge it according to your needs. every other day would likely give you the lesser effect you're looking for.Keep in mind, however, that the condition of your hair will either increase or decrease the color effect. Specifically, the drier/more porous your hair is, the more color it will absorb. If your hair is quite healthy, and not chemically treated, the effect should be more subtle.hope this info helps. :)silvie

Are you talking about color shampoos and conditioners like Blue Malva, Clove, etc., or their personal blends. I am very interested. Thanks.

HiThe info on aveda coloring shampoos/conditioners is true for both their regular color line (blue malva, madder root, etc), as well as their custom blends. The custom blends, however, have about 50% more color than the regular line, and offer the highest concentration of temp. color that Aveda offers in a shampoo/conditioner. Even so, the condition/dryness of your hair remains a factor in how much color is absorbed.:) silvie
