Okay, so I was updating my web page the other day and I realized that since August, I`ve had my hair cut four times and it`s the same length as it was in August. If I had just left it alone, it could be 3" longer! Now, granted, a lot of it needed to come off because last September I bleached (we`re talking platenum here...) my hair too death (well, it was streaching like bubble gum...)
So... Does anyone hav any good ideas abofor how I can keep myself from cutting my hair? I take relatively good care of it, for a college girl who has no time. I`ve tried taking pictures of it, and keep pictures of how long I want it.. but I just can`t keep from getting that feeling like I NEED to cute it. :-( Does anyone have something that they did that relly helped them?

Perseverance!

I`m like you...I always feel like I NEED a trim. I found, however, that when the day comes that I really feel I need a trim, I just wait it through. Within a couple of days that "bad hair spell" subsides and I`m able to go a little while longer. My stylist always tells me, "Your hair is not as bad as you think it is!"

I TOTALLY relate - I`ve been saying I`m growing my hair out for two years now. I keep "adjusting" first the bottom - then when that looks bad - the top - and before you know it it`s the same length as I started with.

I`ve had pretty good success resisting temptation by telling myself that I will not cut until it gets below a certain target by one inch then I can cut half inch.

Right now it`s at a length I hate hate hate - between chin and shoulders. I look better either really short or below shoulders - so believe me, I am struggling madly.

To make matter both better and worse, my Blvd. Hubby like my hair short as well as long, but agrees that the current length is the worst.

He`s been a good support though, reminding me how much I complain about it when it`s short and (for me) always doing the wrong thing.

`Scuse the length (no pun)...gabi

I used to always cut my hair too. Then get mad as it grew and cut it shorter. Not really short, some sort of bob style a little above my chin.
I`m growing out my Something About Mary cut now. I had my first trim in 2 months today. She took off 1/8 of an inch. I`m going back in 3 months for another little trim and to have my highlights redone. I find it helps to make an appointment well in advance, that way you kinda have to wait to go.

Kera,
if it is any encouragement you look great with your hair up and half-up, it makes you look quite different and sophisticated. The half-up formal do looks fantastic on you. Think of this when you want to chop it!!

Keep going - your half-up pictures actually make it look a little longer as it hangs at the back. Good luck
