QuoteReplyTopic: I Need Desperate Help Quickly!!!!!!! Posted: January 12 2000 at 6:09am
Hi!,I am in need of major help with my naturally curly, bi-racial (balck & White) hair. It is just above my shoulders when it is dry. I was wondering if anyone has this type of hair that can offer me some advice or if someone knows of some products that would help. It has no curl definition, it is just frizzy all the way around. because of this, I try to straighten it, but nothing seems to work in this area either. Because of this, I am forced to wear my hair up everyday (which I hate). I am open to any suggestions that may help with either having it curly, or with blowdrying it straight. Thanks for your help.
Hi, Beca!I would recommend you visit www.naturallycurly.com. It is an excellent site for advice on products and management tips for curly hair of any type---from the loosest wave to the tightest curl. There, what you should do is go into Curltalk and visit the Newbies forum first. It's toward the bottom of the page. There, you can find out your hair type(ranging from 1-4 with gradations)according to Andre Walker, Oprah's hairdresser. Once you have a general idea of your hair type using this numerical scheme, visit the forum, General Discussion about Curly Hair. There, you can check posts re products and management tips for your specific type of hair, among other topics. There is also a forum devoted to Product Reviews. You should also realize that biracial people have different types of curly hair, so there's not just one type of product to solve every problem:)I would also suggest that you visit the Black Haircare Network. The site is located at www.blackhaircare.com. There is a whole product review section there and tons of helpful tips.Hope this helps....Jade> I am in need of major help with my naturally curly,> bi-racial (balck & White) hair.
