hey therei've read something before about a link between carbonated beverages (diet and non) and cellulite. I dont know if any studies have been done specifically on hair, but I have read a couple articles that have led me to believe that Aspartame is generally pretty evil stuff. it may not be directly related to any serious illnesses, but i think it's also far from a good thing to put into your body (totally non nutritive and hard to digest). i know that aspartame in combination with dairy (especially hot, like hoit cocoa) can cause a lot of gastric upset (especially gas).i try to keep any Aspartame intake to a minimum--hard to do since I love diet coke!let me know if you hear anything on this.:) silvie

Brit,I would not touch the stuff again. I remember having lots of headaches and feeling quite nauseated several years ago and feeling quite jittery. It is extremely rare for me to get a headache and I became concerned. At the same time, I noticed that my skin was very blotchy--uneven skin tone--and I never had this problem. Moreover, my hair was very brittle. It wasn't so much extra-dry, it just snapped like a twig.I stopped drinking diet sodas and the symptoms went away.So many of the claims with aspartame are anecdotal. However, I do believe that so many of them are true because the pattern is usually ingesting the product, symptoms, stopping and relief.Sugar is not supposed to be great for you, either, but I would rather have a "regular" soda without the effects which I suffered.Bye for now,Jade> Curious on if there's a link between Aspartame an hair> health?
