HI,I have had about 3 perms in my life. The problem is, that the last one really messed up my hair and it came out really quicky. My hair looks dreadfull staright as I have a really long face, so I realy want another one.I have tried to make do by scrunching my hair...but it makes it look like straw. What can I do ...I want curly hair, but I dont know if it is a good idea to have another perm if my hair is damaged. Please help...is there nothing else I can use to create a bit of curl...even if it is temporary??I am desperate as I am going on holiday soo and I hate this straight hair!!

Next take a dry strand and drop in a warm cup of water and see how long it takes to sink. If it floats and does not sink or sinks very slowly after a while its 'porosity' is ok to re-perm.If it sinks rapidly don't even think about perming your hair!If after these tests it checks ok, try having your stylist use a Quantum 'Hydra-Balance' Perm to re-perm your hair with. Shampoo and apply a heavy bodied conditioner such as Redken Climatress and sit under a hot drier with a cap over the hair for twenty minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water and proceed with the perm, it should do ok.william

Also if he/she is not experienced with this particular perm, be sure that the hair is not 'wrapped' too tight. Read and follow the instructions to the letter.william> william
