I have let my bangs grow out and everyone keeps telling me that I looked better with them. But I really hate to mess with them. I have naturally curly hair and all my bangs want to do is curl in ringlets. Sometimes this is cute, but my hair tends to frizz so it looks like crap. My hair is also very very fine so I hate to put a curling iron or any type of hot appliance in my hair. I guess what I really wanted to know is are there any secrets to getting your bangs to stay put and looking good? thanks~k

You sound like me. I use a big round boar-bristle brush and a straightening balm on my bangs, which I have to have at lower-lid length to compensate for "curlage" on humid days, which happen a lot in Mississippi! ha ha ha. Presently, I use a combination of Citre Shine Straightening balm and The Heat by Paul Mitchell.
i have the same hair type--wavy and even curly in humid weather. when i had bangs they drove me nuts until i found aveda's self control stick. it looks like deodorant but it's really a great product. use it sparingly on dry hair (like after you blow it out) and it *will* keep your bangs in place and help keep them from curling up. use it sparingly as too much will make your hair feel heavy, weighed down. it is most effective if you are also blowing out with a straightening gel or lotion.:) silvie

I went to buy the citre shine balm, but they didn't have it and i bought something called citre shine glossing wax, it's a pomade. I'm going to see if that works. I'll also be on the look-out for the self-control stick. Thanks again~k
