QuoteReplyTopic: What is in style for this winter highlights? Posted: January 12 2000 at 6:18am
My hair is layer and above shoulder length. I have highlights in my hair. They were made with the foil paper in January 1999. I have them redone every 4 months. I want to know are highlights in style for this winter? Or should I just color my hair. I live in California.

i think keeping highlights year round is fine--it's actually a lot more natural looking than it may first seem. but if you think about it: naturally highlighted hair *would* stay highlighted all year round.not just in the summertime.deeper, darker, and especially richer colors are usually associated with fall & winter, and I think they are lovely, too.i believe it's more important to go with a look (color/cut) that suits your face shape and eye color (even more important than skin tone).:) silvie
