I have a question about hair color and growing it out. If I was to let my hair color grow out naturally, would my hair be healthier? My hair seems so frizzy since I began coloring it. I've had it colored for 8 years now. I would be willing to give up my blonde hair if I only knew that my hair wouldn't be so frizzy if I quit coloring it. My hair just seems to be moisture deprived since it gets frizzy at the first hint of humidity in the air. Thanks!

It is sometimes the price we pay for the color we feel good wearing. If you prefer your blonde hair color maybe try some good professional hair product to help to improve your hair condition. Also, if you have a hairstylist that you can talk to , you should be able to make it appear healthier. Ask your stylist about using a semi-permanent clear glaze on after you color. This will seal your ends as well as give you some shine. Maybe instead of coloring all your hair blonde you could go with hi-liting instead, this will only dry out some of your hair. Good luck

This is exactly me! I started coloring my hair strawbery blonde 8 years ago, but this August I said "Enough is enough!". It seemed as if I was always fighting the frizzies. NO amount of conditioning seemed to help. Since I stopped coloring my hair I have noticed a big improvement, even in the hair that was damaged before. No more chemicals! I only use Aubrey Organics, Jojoba and Safflower Oils, and Phtyotherape products now - all natural. I can't wait for my roots to grow out more (about 1.5" now) and finally enjoy healthy hair once more!

Hi Alicia! I know exactly what you mean. I'm sick of the frizzies. I'm just scared how my hair will look trying to grow it back out to it's natural color. Actually my hair is a light/brown dark/blonde it's not like it would look that awful, but my hair is so long. It's going to take me forever to do it. It's taken me 5 or more years to get my hair down to my waist. I won't cut it either. I guess I could try to color it my natural color and let it grow out, but I've tried that before and the blonde came back through! I guess my hair wants to be blonde....LOL. I would have to have a professional do it, I suppose.Thank you Rae and Alicia for your advice!! I really appreciate it!SaraThis is exactly me!
