QuoteReplyTopic: Growing out bangs & i have boring long hair! Posted: January 12 2000 at 6:28am
Hi!I have hair a few inches past my shoulders, and i also have decided to grow out my bangs, problem is i am kinda sick of my long hair, but i still like it at the same time, i want a new hair cut, not too drastic, but cute, but also able to pull back. I have also decided to grow my bangs out, they are always in my face, quite the annoyance if you know what i mean. What can i do to keep them out of my face w.o making my forehead look too bare, and what kind of cut should i get? I have an appointment this Wednesday
Hi :)I am seriously debating whether to grow out my bangs and have long hair too. Some ways you could keep the bangs off your face while growing out are either with a headband or pull them back in a barrette. To find a long hair style you might be interested in, how about looking in magazines? Last week I was flipping through the latest issue of "First" and saw some nice long hair styles in there. One long hair style to consider is angling in front or how about long layers which help keep hair out of your face? A couple years ago before I had my hair cut in bangs, I had my thick long hair cut in long layers and it helped bring out my natural wave. Wish I had stuck with that hairstyle. Oh well, if I do decide to grow out the bangs I can always go back to that style. Hope I helped! Let us know what you decide to do!Maria :)Related Link:Maria In Mass
Hi Jenna,What color and texture is your hair? Maybe you can get some subtle highlights done? You can also trim your ends differently, giving your hair a totally different look (like, blunt cut vs. a rounded cut vs. a V-shaped cut vs. feathered ends). You can also try switching products, which is likely to give a fresh, new look to your hair. As for the bangs, you can brush them over to one side (I think this looks really cute), you can part them, or you can pull them back, leaving just a few whisps of hair in front. Gosh, the things you can do with long hair!...Whatever cut you get, try to go for a new "style" rather than a new "cut", if you know what I mean. Remember, you can always get it cut off if you don't like it, but it's gonna take a while before you can grow it all back. Good luck, Jenna.PDP.S. You have probably done this already, but just in case you haven't, take a look in the gallery. Sometimes you can find some really nice styles for long hair in there.> Hi!> I have hair a few inches past my shoulders, and i also> have decided to grow out my bangs, problem is i am> kinda sick of my long hair, but i still like it at the> same time, i want a new hair cut, not too drastic, but> cute, but also able to pull back.
