QuoteReplyTopic: how do i get certain celebrity haircuts ? Posted: January 12 2000 at 6:43am
HiI'm am desperate. I have thick wavy hair that can go straight but curls very hesitantly. I am really interested in changing my hairdo and there are a few that I would really like to try out. Could anyone help me by telling me how to get these styles.Firstly I think that Scott Speedman's hairdo is cool. The slightly long curly do from the first season of Felicity. I also like Matt LeBlanc's do from the first season of friends.I'm also interested in Tom Cruise's longish hair which he sported just after Eyes Wide Shut was released as well as Brad Pitt's hairdo from 7 years in Tibet. Can anyone help me by telling me how to get these hairstyles and also which of these will suit my hairtype and my oval shaped face.I don't want to go too short because at the moment I am known as having the longest short hair at my school.
Hi,First of all, with an oval face shape you can wear just about any type of style that you want. The determining factors are the following:1. How much time do you want to spend on your hair everyday. Do you have lots of time to blow dry and style or do you need to wash/wear & go? This is an important consideration. While some of the styles you mention would look great, they will take a little more time to re-create every day.2. Get photos and then narrow it down to one style that you really like the best. If you want your stylist to re-create the style, you need to be prepared to show photos. Stylists need a visual clue to help them. Believe it or not, many stylists may not have heard of any of the celebrities you mentioned. Hard to believe...but it is true. So take 3-4 big photos that show the style from a couple of angles. Front, back and side is best.3. With thick wavy hair you can do a lot of very easy styles that look great. You can go with the spikey look and this is easy. You wash, towel dry, apply some Murray's or other wax and spike the hair and let it dry. You are good to go.4. Take advantage of your natural texture. If you hair doesn't curl easily but does wave easily, use that to your advantage. You can re-create a style that "crunch it in place" or you can just let your hair go wild and be true to its natural texture.Hope that helps.Karen Shelton> Hi> I'm am desperate. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
