I'm naturally a dark blonde and colored it a lighter blonde about 8 months ago with Hydrience Extra Light Ash blonde. So, without any touch ups, the roots look really bad right now. It seems like my hair got thinner after it was colored, so thats why I didn't do any touch ups. Plus, I'm trying to let my hair grow to it's maxium length and figured if I keep coloring it, it would just slow any growth down. I want to use a gentle semi permanet color on the lighter half so it's close to my natural hair color at the roots. I tried calling the Clairol hotline twice, the first time one person said to use a dark ash blonde shade. So to be on the safe side I did a strand test and it didn't come up dark enough, and didn't look close to my natural color. When I called the second time someone else said I shouldn't have even tried using it to color my hair since it might of caused off tones in my hair. Does anyone know of anything I can use to help bring me back to my natural hair color that is semipermanent? I don't want to wind up with a color disaster.

If you just use a semi permanent color your going to have to keep on putting that peroxide every month or two, and if your going to do that until your hair color grows out and might be damaging after awhile.
