I am planning on getting a perm in two weeks. I have never had a perm before. I am a real tomboy and getting my hair done never interested me until now. I curled my hair for my wedding, and everyone loved it, including myself. Alot of women suggested that I get a perm, since I look so good with curls. I have healthy, thick, shoulder-blade length hair, that is somewhat wavy. I have several friends who have permed hair and rave about something called an iso perm. Supposedly it causes a minimal amount of damage. Is there anybody out there who knows about iso perms, or other damage-free perms? That last thing I want to do is get a perm and fry my hair!!

Hi there!I really don't know anything about perms, as God made me naturally culry...BUT, if you go to www.hairnet.com you may find some more info on ISO perms... or do a search using infoseek to find out more about them. I have heard that they are non-damaging (I find that hard to beleive if its a TRUE chemical service), but I have also heard that they smell really putrid! Hopefully someone else out there has had an ISO perm and can tell you more!Good Luck!SherryI am planning on getting a perm in two weeks. I have> never had a perm before.
