Hi Jena :)*Smiling and asking with a friendly smile*I've been reading your thought provoking posts with interest and although my favorite shampoo is still Aubrey Organics's Jay shampoo, I was wondering which shampoo is YOUR favorite? Did you start using this shampoo before or after reading Paula's book? Just curious. Your comments about some of the Finesse shampoos being less irritating than Aubrey's caught my eye. I also thought it interesting how you mentioned using an expensive mascara, but based on Paula's recommendion in one of her books switching to a less expensive one, and it working very well for you.I wanted to email you asking you this, but unfortanately your email address is not available so that's why I'm asking here. Thanks Jena!! I really appreciate it!!Maria :)Related Link:Maria In Mass

Hi Maria!> I was wondering which> shampoo is YOUR favorite?Hmmm....good question! I honestly don't have a favorite, but ones that I use and like are Aveda Pure-Fume Brilliant Shampoo for Treated, Dry, or Textured Hair, Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo (the cleansing agents aren't very good, but it's gentle, so I just use on the days when my hair isn't really dirty or not very much time has elapsed since I last washed my hair but just I just wanted to feel fresh!), Orchids Petals Shampoo (part of the Exotics by White Rain collection), and BodyVive by L'Oreal, (the VitaVive Daily Care for Normal Hair, Multi-Vitamin Clear Shampoo). The L'Oreal is currently what is in my shower. My hair tends to be a tiny bit oily, and is fine and thick (each individual hair is fine, but I have an abundance of follicles), and chemical-free. I'm going for growth, so I don't use a hair dryer or curling iron. It's very healthy right now, and I basically just need a shampoo for normal hair. I was pleased to read in Paula's book that the above do not leave residue on the hair.> Did you start using this> shampoo before or after reading Paula's book? With the exception of L'Oreal, I used the other three before reading Paula's book. I like the lathering of L'oreal the best and the scent of Aveda the best!> Your comments about some of the Finesse> shampoos being less irritating than Aubrey's caught my> eye.I have no experience with either shampoo lines, but it is the coconut oil soap and corn oil soap that are used in some of Aubrey's shampoos that Paula says can be very drying for some hair.>I also thought it interesting how you mentioned> using an expensive mascara, but based on Paula's> recommendion in one of her books switching to a less> expensive one, and it working very well for you.My pocketbook is very pleased! {grin} I was using Lancombe mascara, which is excellent but quite expensive. I switched to Maybelline's "Illegal lengths" and am very pleased with it. However, Paula recently entered the skin care and make-up market herself, and I'd rate her brand of mascara the same as Illegal lengths. I have extraordinarily sensitive skin. If something is going to be irritating, it will be on me! Her skin care products are the absolute best I've ever used. And I was one of the people who wrote her and said that I thought she should make her own products! No artificial colors or fragrances are used, which makes a big difference to my skin.> I wanted to email you asking you this, but> unfortanately your email address is not available so> that's why I'm asking here.No problem. I've included it here, but generally don't because my mailbox frequently gets filled with junk mail, so I like exposure to my address limited.> Thanks Jena!! I really appreciate it!!Quite welcome! I hope it's clear that in no way, shape, or form do I claim to be any kind of an expert with hair care. I'm not! But I've also learned from experience in life that intelligent people and reputable companies like to challenge and be challenged. It's how we think, grow, and learn. It's real easy to have opinions but quite another to have to defend them.Jena :-)
