QuoteReplyTopic: ION reconstructor treatment -will it help in between trims? Posted: December 08 2001 at 6:17pm
Has anyone tried ION reconstructor treatment? I just bought some today. I`m trying to get my hair to stay in better condition ( It`s in very good condidtion, I think now) so I can go at least 3 months between trims. I was wondering has anyone tried it? it was kinda soapy, I had to double check to see if it was shampoo, but it is a reconstructor treatment. How often should I use it? The lady in Sally`s said once a week.

A Reconstructor is very high in protein, much higher than your regular conditioner. It is generally used to improve dry or damaged hair and once a week should be sufficient. It helps to prevent split ends so your hair should still look good between trims. 6 to 8 weeks is the usual time between trims so your goal of 12 weeks is not totally out of reach. Good luck and let us know how it works for you.
Hey I've tired that Ion reconstructor form Sallys also it is great, but I need to get some more. How can I order some if I'm in Europe I tried sites and even Sallys but I cant find the product. Does it have a site?
I used to use it, and I liked it. It's not going to "reconstruct" your hair. Once its damaged, nothing can do that. But it is a nice conditioner and I was happy with how it made my hair feel. If you want your hair to grow long, just clarify to remove any buildup from it around every two weeks.
