Sorry everyone. Just bear with me here but I`m very new at trying to grow my hair out. I`ve heard good and a few bad things about viviscal but not sure what`s the big controversy. If anyone would love to give stories or just fill me in I would be very grateful!

A wish is a desire without any attempt to attain its end.
Viviscal is a very hot product right now. I know one person that is taking it so I will tell you about her experience with it. She had her hair chopped into a Meg Ryan style and regretted it immediately. She started looking for a way to make her hair grow as fast as possible. One of her girlfriends recommended prenatal vitamins, but someone else said her friend had become extremely sick from having taken them without being pregnant. Very confusing and no longer an option! After trying various other products, she heard about Viviscal. We did some research on the Internet, where we were able to find various studies done on the product. She hesitated buying it because she is allergic to certain sea foods and Viviscal has marine proteins but read a post on the web from someone who is also allergic to sea food but hadn`t had any allergic reactions to the pill so she placed an order. Within the first two weeks, I could see a change and her hair looked longer and healthier. Within three weeks, it was noticeably longer. Incredible! She isn`t experiencing any negative side effects. It isn`t a cheap product, the cost for a box of sixty tablets is $78, plus $4.95 shipping and handling. You may want to read a Viviscal article that appeared in Cosmo Magazine. It was an article on a "Miracle-Hair pill known as Viviscal". In Cosmo Hair, there were before and after photos of supermodel Natane who used Viviscal to grow her hair at warp-speeds of 1 1/2 inches per month. That is a rate of 18 inches per year. Normal hair grows about 1/2 inch per month.....a rate of 6 inches per year. The Viviscal product was designed to stimulate the scalp to encourage new hair growth by providing nourishment. Viviscal was specifically designed to naturally assist people who were experiencing hair loss. However, many people have been using the supplements to increase their own hair growth rate. Viviscal was launched in Finland in October 1992. It was extensively tested and researched in Europe and Latin America. I can tell you that my friend has gotten truly dramatic results using it without any harmful side effects.
She is still taking it, Lisa, but at a lower dosage to maintain her hair`s condition. The literature says; "Take one tablet twice daily for 6 months or until hair is restored, then take one daily to maintain hair condition. Smoking counteracts the effects of this product and smokers may have to take a higher dose or one tablet 3 times daily." It also says that if you stop taking it, you will not lose any new growth. Very reassuring but that is not why she takes it. Her hair is still in marvelous condition and grows very fast after 8 months.
