for the first time I can remember since high school, my hair is long (a wee bit past my shoulders) and I need clips and holders that are hair safe (since my intention is to have REALLY long hair and never have it cut again) So, can anyone out there tell me a place online that I can go to and order such things? A brand name or two wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks

Generally speaking you want to go with anything that doesn''t have sharp edges. For ponytails go with Blax elastic bands and headbands.

Check out:

You can also try Bungee cords which will never tear or rip.

For headbands go with soft tortoise brands and depending on your pocketbook you can buy anything from Karina and Smoothies to France Luxe which is more expensive but their accessories are like wearing soft butter. Elegant and safe.

Avoid barrettes that will tear or pull although many of the higher end lines have barrettes that are very safe. The France Luxe Barely Theres are made with 14K gold fittings that are soft and will not rip.

PP is correct. HairBoutique.com has the absolute largest selection of hair accessories on the Net. A large percentage are "hair friendly" because Karen Shelton who owns HairBoutique.com has very very long hair and is very conscientious about hair friendliness.

I am sure you can email Karen at shelton@hairboutique.com and she will help with hair accessory questions. She has always been very responsible to me w/ my questions.

Hope that helps.
