QuoteReplyTopic: Hair Foils Disaster! Can anyone help! Going on Holidays later!! Posted: June 01 2003 at 4:30am
Hi everyone. I've just found this forum as would appreciate any help.
I'm in a real panic here about my hair. Meant to post this sooner but was that busy as I'm going to Lanzarote at 2am in the morning!
I have long dark brown hair and got blonde foils in my hair yesterday and they look awful! Has turned out like a blondie/goldie colour and they are too many foils at the top of my hair. I previously had foils in my hair so decided to get a few more in yesterday for my holiday and it is disaster! (Wish I didn't bother now) The back of the hair is fine just the top. It didn't look to bad in the hairdressers tho' today it looks awful. Probably should have complained, too late now!
Am that pi$$ed off I'm seriously thinking about going to Boots and getting a Dark Brown Dye and trying to cover some of them at the top! That would be fun! lol.
If any of you baggers can help I really really would love to hear from you. I know I haven't much time, but suppose Boots doesn't close to 6pm! lol
Saffron...don't try to put color back in your hair!
You will most likely pull base tones (green or blue)....there is a procedure you have to go through when you tint back. If you go back and read some of the blooper posts on this site, you will read some of the results of trying to tint bleached hair.
It is NOT too late to call your Stylist right back and let him/her know that you are not happy with your highlights....Your stylist wants you to be happy with your hair. He/She will want you to come back. At least give them a chance to adjust your color, and there should be no charge for this.
Color is NOT an exact science, sometimes we have to work with the results and adjust. A Colorists job is to listen to you (in a good consult before hand), and try to create the image you (The Client) has in mind. It is not always an easy thing, we do not read minds, you have to let us know when you aren't happy. Call your Salon Back and ask them to look at you hair with you and see what can be done.
Thanks for your reply. Yeah you are right, will just have to back to the salon. Going now at 2am on holidays so just gonna forget about it to I come back!!
I suggest calling before you leave on vacation.....The longer you wait the harder it is for the Salon to respond...and for you to call.
If a client calls me two weeks after a color service (depending on how well I know the client), complaining about a color, of course I'm going to see her/him....but I have to tell you I'm wondering why (if the color is not right) I wasn't called sooner????
Did you like it for two weeks and all of the sudden not like it? What's been going on for two weeks in the time that you didn't call?? Call Now, touch base, deal with the problem....that is my best reccomendation. Jeese...you guy's! Sometimes I wish I could just be there with you, to advocate for you and help you make the call...ask the right questions...and be assertive enough to get the results you wanted and paid for. Make The Call...it's ok, go for it, you arein the right if you did not get what you asked for.
By all means CALL THEM. Give them a chance to fix it, they will never know you are unhappy unless you tell them. I am sure they would much rather see you happy than hating your hair and telling everyone what a bad color job you got at (name of salon). It may just be a matter of putting some toner on your hair. I had the same thing happen to me and the girl made time to get me in right away to fix the problem and also threw in a couple of deep conditioining sessions to keep me happy. This was years ago and I still go to the same girl, I wouldn't think of letting someone else touch my hair. Give them the opportunity! Good luck, and let us know.
