I subscribe to Paula Begoun's Beauty Bulletin. In today's issue is this tidbit she pulled from the May 2003 Happi magazine (page 14):

Clairol Professional Color polled 2,400 people on hair color. What they found:

*Brunettes are considered leaders, self-confident, trustworthy, practical, resistant to taking risks, argumentative and less glamorous.

*Blondes are viewed as glamorous, wealthy and most willing to pamper themselves.

*Redheads are considered risk-takers.

These are just the results which Paula reported. I am neither condoning nor condemning the survey's findings--I'm curious what everyone thinks about this. Let's hear it!

What about greys ? Real and artificial greys :P

I need a color guide for all the various greys out there.
I hate all of the following and lots more : Fundamentalists, racists, sexists, fascists, ageists (people saying seniors = senile , kids = stupid , 18 = immature or a combo of them), and bigots for causes yet to receive their own designation.

Black & white (or moonlight at midnight for the poetic souls among us) haired girl checking in.

I love to pamper myself, am a (selective) risk-taker and yet practical.

Would you class the black hair as brunette and the white hair as blonde...?
If so, the allocation of attributes would correlate with my self-analysis.

Actually, I don't believe a word of it, Lyris, but it provides an entertaining speculation.

I don't have the actual magazine (subscribing to a publication called "Happi" would be just too much!) just the points Paula articulated. I'm curious too where black/gray hair falls according to this survey. What happens if you dye your hair aqua? Or chartreuse? Or better yet, mauve? What if you have no hair? What if you have black hair with white highlights? :-P
