Hey all,
I'm a short-haired dark brunette, and I'm interested in a hair color change. There's no particular reason why I'm doing it (no, I didn't break up with someone, get a new job, whatever), I just think it would be a cool change.
I'm thinking about going for a shade of red, but here's the thing--I have no clue as to what shade I want!
I have brown eyes, so I've been leaning towards maybe a darker auburn or burgundy, probably not a coppery red.

What do you think would be a great shade of red (or any color possible, for that matter...red, blonde, whatever) for a brown eyed girl with light skin (w/yellow undertones)?
Just curious about what your opinion or advice on this is...thanks!

Naturally, My hair is black (as you can see from my icon.), with greenish hazel eyes. A while back, I decided to do the red thing. I just went back darker yesterday. Here is the shade mine was:

Most medium auburns will create this color. However, My results came after bleaching out my hair first...obviously, black hair is a little tough to dye over :P

I like really dark, true reds, myself. The coppery, orangey reds just don't look as attractive to me.

What color/brand did you use? It's really pretty! I too like the darker auburn/reds myself and am trying to get my hair there. Unfortunately so far I'm at the lighter auburn/gold stage. Need more red/violet--something cooler.

Snuggles, that is a beautiful hair color you have, both the black and the red look great on you!
I think I agree with all of your preferences towards the deeper auburn reds. I'm going over to Sally's Beauty to figure out what color I'm going to do, so we'll see how it goes!
Now my hair color can actually match my screenname.
