I now have caramel coloredhighlights on brunette hair and have to start coloring myself. I will go to a solid brunette but can someone give advice for coloring over these highlights, as well as a good home product?

Never color over highlights because the highlights dont have a pigment- this is only somthing a salon can do. If you put brown over highlights your hair will turn green- especially if you use the at home crap. I would suggest going to a salon unless you want to mess your hair up. Paying a little more is way better than having a disaster- cause when you have a disaster, it costs TONS to fix it. Trust me. Good luck

yep that is true, I would not highlight your hair again at home, its hard and you can mess it up really bad and then it will cost you more to fix at a salon.
