Hi there. I have naturally black hair and i was growing out my over-processed dyed hair so that i could start over. That said, there's this new line of salon hair color called "Magma" by wella. http://www.wella.net/pages/Home-ForHairdressers-Products-Magma It has no ammonia and lifts and colors within 30 mins. So basically i wanted advice as to whether i should have my hair colored red in the salon or whether i should do it at home w/ clairol complements hair color or some similar type of permanent color. My hiar is thick and long now so i am going to chopped off the dyed ends beofre i color. Anyways please give me ur opinions on what i've mentioned. THanx!

well i personally advice u that u should go to a salon cause black hair is hard to dye and the black shade doesnt come off easily and ur hair is already tired and poor so going to the salon will save ur hair health from any dying action can go wrong at home
and if u decided to not go the salon my advice is to cut ur hair after dying it not before

:) Thanx for ur advice. Fortunately my virgin hair's condition is healthy and i have super strong hair, and the dyed ends will be gone once i get a cut, so i actually opted for at home color. U made me reconsider cutting my hair first, lol. I can't wait to be a redhead!
