Can I achieve Diane Lane''s haircolor in the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" at home and if so how? I have medium brown hair (more on the light side of medium brown shades) and I''d like to dye my hair her color but I have no clue if this is something I can undertake at home and if it is, what color or brand I should use. Any ideas? Professional and all other opinions welcome. Thanks.
It's hard to tell from the pictures I found on the web, but I'd say her hair is somewhere in the Light Golden Brown to Strawberry Blonde to Dark Golden Blonde vicinity. The lighting on all those pictures makes it hard to peg down. Sometimes, it looks just plain brassy!
I'd suggest finding a picture of her with the shade you're after and visit with a colorist. Mileage varies big time with your natural haircolor and lifting enough of the color out to achieve that shade. It might take a double process of bleaching first and then coloring.
