I replied to your post in "Bloopers" but I'll say it again here. Get thee to a salon, pronto!!!! Do not do another thing to your hair, or you will just make it ten times worse.

is there no other way? as i cant go to a salon, and i have a big reason for that
If you absolutely MUST do it yourself, go to Sally Beauty Supply (or some other beauty supply shop, not the drug store, that way you can see what bases are in the dyes there, which you can't with drug store boxed colors). I don't think there is any way to go from black to blonde without a whole lot of damage. You can still get it looking good blonde...you can keep it from looking too damaged, but you will have to condition it heavily and trim it frequently.
Are you absolutely SURE you won't go to a professional? I highly recommend it...
One thing you can do is do it chunk by chunk (not dying your whole head at once). You will have to try to separate what hair is exactly what color to get it right though, and it IS risky...you may wind up having to go to a salon anyway. Do you think you want to go red? If so, that may be the easiest and least damaging thing to do at this point.
I don't know what you mean your hair looks like exactly. You say its blonde on top, got that, then red, okay, then black? Do you mean its black near the ends or darker on the ends and medium or light red in the middle? I need a better idea of what color your hair is exactly, or a picture of the back of your head if you have a digital camera to be able to tell you what dye base you should get.
Don't worry, you don't have to cut it all off, there is plenty that can be done.
Do NOT use henna on the hair that has been dyed blonde.

omg if you can even go to a cheap salon, go. i did this same things once, and when i tried to do the same your your trying to do right now(not go to a salon) i did something similar to the last poster said to do. my hair not only turned the worst colors....but it started to fall out and break off. i had to get my hair cut so short and it was terrible. the stylist said there wasnt even a way to fix it, just to keep it short and get frequent hair cuts to get it back. she said that if she colored it again, it would most likely all fall out.
it was really terrible, so not only was i left with an even worse colo than when i colored it myself the 1st time, my hair didnt grow back to my shoulder length for 2-3 years.
She's right you know. The more I think about it, the more I think I will retract my earlier comments. For one, I didn't give you anything to go on yet, needing more information, so I've been worried you went off to the beauty supply and just bought something red based on my statement. Second, while I'm confident I could help you fix this if I were there with you, I'm starting to feel I shouldn't give any information over the net, not seeing what you have there. Having 3 different colors on your head is just too complicated of an issue, especially if the black part is dyed. Please, just go to a salon. An inexpensive one would do if money is the issue. If you're worried about people you know being there and making fun of you, just put on a hat and go to one in the next town, but please, let a salon handle it. Good luck, Susan W.

You really need to go to a salon with a COLORIST who specializes in coloring. A regular stylist wouldn't do much but mess it up more!
Dyed black is pretty much the WORST possible thing to try and fix and usually ends up unfixable. if It were me and it was so gosh aweful and I couldn't go to a salon I would put a dark brown temporary color on top and hope for the bes that it blended OK. I definately would not use black again and don't get the new haircolor on the ends where it is so dark already except maybe the last couple minutes for blending.
Im agoraphobic which is why i cant go..but my uncle is a hair dresser, and he gave me something called wipeout*It does no damage*,which lift's the colours up,so now its alot brighter, and i kinda like it lol,,but he said the same as you,if i kept tryin 2 go blonde it would ruin my hair, and a salon wouldn't touch it anyway,so he reckons i should put a light brown colour on my hair, and a medium brown on my root's so its nearly all the same colour..but i think im gonna leave it for a bit,it's like a golden blonde? but thank you to everyone who tryed to help xx
