Thanks for the link. Really interesting site. It sounds like a great idea and the prices are reasonable. I think the swatch kit would be useful even if you weren't ordering your hair colour from them. Has anyone out there ordered their hair colour from this site? I'd be interested in knowing about your results.

Hey no prob! ;) I got it out of "color and style" magazine. I wonder if they cater towards hi-lift dyes, because i get my roots retouched for 65 bucks!!!

$65 (every 4 weeks)? Yikes. I ruined my hair with brown dye and am considering a $200 fix and highlight job (my hair is 2.5 ft. long).

I have a product recommendation. I don't know if you've ever tried any OTC hi-lift products, but I've tried quite a few. Most of them only lightened my hair 1-2 levels, but Herbal Essences XL products work really well (less than $10 a box). I used XL10 and got my med. auburn hair to a nice honey blonde in one step (before I ruined it).

hey! Yea i know that is alot for a root touch up but i asked for the formula (the reason im not using that hilift herbal essence color is becuz i dye mine red) and my hair is naturally black, my stylist used igora schwarzkopf shade "9-7" w/ 30 vol. developer. For some reason is lifts realy well. So i decided that i am going to get off this site on the net that sells it and do it at home. Alteast it'll spare me 65 dollars every 6-8 weeks!!! Anyways are u feelin' tempted to order this custom color? I was a few days ago, but schwarzkopf seems to do the trick on my hair! :D

I've actually decided to go the professional route to get my hair done. My hair is light brown right now (my natural colour is auburn). I want to go blonde -- with a number of different shades and foils (like Julia Roberts' hair in her new movie). I went for a consultation at the salon I'm going to go to and feel quite comfortable with the colourist I've chosen. I think that, since this is the first time I'm going for this particular look, I shouldn't try to do it myself. I will probably be tempted in the future, though. I've never heard of schwarzkopf. I'll have to pay very close attention to what my stylist does to my hair to see if I'll be able to maintain it myself.
