I dyed my hair and it is way too dark and im really upset. I mean i know it wil lighten up eventually cuz when i did it two years ago it lightened up but what do i do in the meantime? I dont want to put anymore color in it tho should i just hide in my room? hahah thats waht im thinkin about doing :'(
Someone else here suggested washing it repeatedly with dish washing soap (the liquid kind). They suggested Dawn, but I would imagine all the soap brands are pretty similar, so whatever you have would probably help.

Prell, which is a very harsh shampoo, can help lighten it up some too. Be sure to condition real well after doing it though because it can be drying for your hair.

I experienced the same problem recently--too dark! UGH!! I tried Dawn, but nothing happened. Then there was a post about ColorFix. What a great product!!! It doesn't contain peroxide, so it doesn't damage hair. You can get it at Sally's. Follow easy direction for removing color. Your hair will be a very strange yellow or orange, depending on your pigment color, so don't be alarmed. When the old color is removed, you can re-color. I suggest a shade or two lighter than what you are aiming for because your hair will be more porous and will "grab" the color faster (watch it carefully!) or you could end up with dark hair again. Condition really well. I used Loreal Hair Fixer to coat the hair so it wouldn't be so porous. It works great also. Good luck! :)
