When you used Loreal Creme Lights to highlight your colored brown hair, did you apply heat to quicken the process? About how long did it take? Is the mixture blue? What volume of developer is in it?

When I colored my hair I did it twice. Does it make mine worse off to highlight?

My hair had been dyed twice, then bleached, then dyed again BEFORE I used Creme Lights. I found it amazingly gentle. I didn't notice any damage after using it.

The product is purple when it's mixed. The colour made it really easy to keep track of where I was placing the highlights. It's also a thick consistency, so seeping and spreading wasn't a problem. (I wasn't using foils OR a cap.) It stayed where I put it. I'm not sure what volume the developer was; I just used the stuff that was included in the box. [I would assume it was 20, because the bleach does almost all of the heavy lifting. A stronger developer would just cause more damage. (I could be wrong, though.)]

As for heat, I just wrapped my head in the plastic bag that is included in the kit. I clipped it closed and let it process. It worked really quickly in my case -- I got to pale yellow in 10 minutes. (It did take me quite a long while to apply it, though. I have a lot of hair.) The instructions recommend leaving it on for up to 25 minutes.

If you decide to opt for the Creme Lights, I hope it works well for you. I have a friend who used it and she loves her highlights too.
My user name is WAY too long. Just call me Juliana. :-)
