Salon bleach same as at Sally's?

Is is true that the salons use totally different kinds of bleach than the kind they have at Sally's? Because hairdressers always say.. you can't get our products anywhere so you will never get the same result at home and it will always come out brassy when you do it yourself. Is this true or do they just say that so you have it done at the salon??

I can't tell you what they get or where they get it, but it is certainly a lie to say it will always come out brassy if you do it yourself, you just have to know what you're doing to avoid it.
