QuoteReplyTopic: I just don't know what to do!! *sniff* Posted: December 20 2004 at 7:57am
I hate my hair.. hate it.
I have had it dyed BRIGHT red for three years now which was great, but everyone knows the horrors of keeping a bright colour. Here is a pic if you want to see what I mean..
However I have now started swimming a lot and have therefore needed to change it as I can't afford to keep dying it every week and having dye come out in the pool.
I have now gone a sort of "rust" colour, which is pretty boring and I am at a loss as to what to do.
I wanted to go blonde (my natural colour) but my stylist has said there is no way they can get the red out, it will just go bright orange. I was also considering extensions, but I just don't have the funds...
I don't want to go brown because it doesn't suit me, and I need something a little wacky!
Help! I realise you can't fix my colour problems (haha) but what would you do if you were in my situation?
Any ideas would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Why not die it a pretty dark auburn color over the red? Then if it fades it will still be a pretty brownish/reddish color? Or, try highlighting/bleaching big chunks of hair so you can still try to get that blonde look and still have something funky.
This is because I can spell konfusion with a K It's hard to like it It's to dying in anothers arms And why i had to try it... - Something Corporate "Konstantine"
Of course you can get the red out. I bleached the red out, and lightened quite easily and my hair wasn't that damaged. Of course, it was very faded red :P So wait about 5 months and it should come out very easy.

why dont u die it a alburn red with some****y highlights, or y dont u just buy a hair swim cap that would cover the hair from the pool. thoses things really work u no..
I don't know why they can't get the red out. You can bleach black dye out of hair. It might take double processing but it's doable.
Manic panic is semi-permanent, right? Let it fade a bunch and then head off to the salon. Or dye it a red shade that is less startling. Like strawberry blonde or copper.

DO NOT DIE THAT HEAD what the bleach will do is cause the red to go deeper in the cuticle.. what u need to do is find u a really good color remover,, like a color erase. and dont use any cheap **** it needs to be like a paul mitchell or formesi i no i spelt that wrong but owell. then u can die it do not put bleach over that hair. it will never leave your head.. u may have to use the color erase six or seven times but that red will go away.. then if theres a orge yllow. then u can post another add and ill tell u what step to do next trust me that stuff will never take the red out if u bleech it... it will damage your hair,,
