QuoteReplyTopic: BLACKPURPLE for AT home/ expert advice please! Posted: January 02 2005 at 8:56pm
Currently having a Yellow/blonde fading color with black and other sorts of colors, I would like to drastically turn my hair into a BLACKPURPLE. Because the salon charges a lot, I would like to do it at home.
Is it OK to MIX darkbrown and purple together ? Or should it be black and purple. But, would the purple appear?
I only came up with that because a salon said that I can bring in a purple and they can mix it so I can get BLACKPURPLE.
reply please! thanksss, greatly appreciated.
Oh yea, and I'm going for PERMANENT.

I think Hydrience makes that color, so probably other lines carry it too. You should keep looking until you find the right product, rather than mess around with color blending.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

just so i get it u want blk hair with purple highlights. or do u want blk hair with a purple shine.. if u want blk hair with purple shine thats easy.. what u need to do is get a number 2 and a number 1 and some violet base.. mix 1 oz of 2 and 1/4 oz of 1 with a 20 dev.. let sit for at least 30 min then rinse out then go back and put a semi perm. of some kinda violet base and ad some purple kicker. youll have a wonderfull purple shine.. but if you want purple highlights i would just put extentions in it.. that would be better plus it will last longer..

Awesome. I'm going into a beauty supply shop today and i'll look for the things you told me to look for. Hopefully it'll turn out okay. I'll probably ask the store-people there too (don't know if they'd help much.)
But after this process is over, I'll be glad to post up some before/after pictures.
