can a curly haired person get highlights

hello i was thinking that i wanted some highlights or i would get some all over color. i am hispanic but my skincolor is bronze medium brown and i have medium brown eyes. my hair is naturaly really really dark brown almost black. i want like a deep brown on my hair but im scared the color will make me look washed out . i would love a color like espresso or chesnut do yall think it would look good on me

i think that will look hot.. if your hair is curly make sure that u tell your stylist to do them very chunky all over.. and put pannels in the fron and u want your nat.. on your face not the blond....
