Me and my friend one day decided to color our hair and I chose a box that said medium brown, well the color turned out waaaaay differnt than it was supposed to!

It turned into a really red blackish color and it was horrible so I went to a salon to try and get it fixed, well they dyed it practically to just the same color but took out a lot of the red undertones. I realllly hate it.

I hate wearing it down now cause it looks so ugly on me! I want to get it back to a medium brownish color but I dont wanna have to bleach it. I did some research and I found that Aveda and Wella have a dye line that can take dark hair and dye it light without bleaching in one-step. The aveda ones called 'Full Spectrum Deep' and the Wella one is called 'Magma'.

Now I want to know if these actually work and if anyone has had any experience with them? They seem too good to be true but I will try anything except bleaching! Please help guys!

I have not tried the dyes you mention, hopefully someone else will answer that question.

If you don't feel the salon did what you asked them to do, go back and ask them to do what you asked. You paid them to give you a service that you requested. If you didn't receive this service, you have the right to go ask for it (and they should fix it for free this time since they didn't do what you asked last time). It should not be hard for them to fix this problem using a color remover and redying it the color of your choice.
