QuoteReplyTopic: Power Reds/hilift Browns vs. "Colour Booster" Posted: February 04 2005 at 3:23am
I've noticed that in Europe/Asia its called Colour Booster Reds/Browns/Blondes/Burgundy's and here it's simple power reds or hilift browns. I checked out the feria site for UK and they not only have that wide array of colors, they also have more exciting shades! Example: "Colour Booster Metallic Blondes" is a technology that is a High-lift blonde w/ three interesting blonde shades. And for their version of power reds they have shades like, Pure Purple Power, Pure Violine Power, Pure Spice Power, etc. The browns are called "Flash Browns" which is hilift browns here in the US. Then they even have the burgundy's. Anyways it would be cool, i think, if they had this over here as well. Isn't it a little strange that they have more slection of the hilift feria shades in the UK/Europe and Asia and only a few of the shades in the US? Also, I've noticed that lets say, the same model on the box for Blowout Burgundy is the same model for the more exciting shade of Pure Purple Power in the UK, and the shades have a significantly noticaeble difference. So did they computer generate shades or something by enhancing the shades? Ok well they prob didn't but if u look at the pics of each box w/ the same model, u'll notice exact same pose and pic but different shade...hmm. lol If u look at the same model w/ pure purple power and burgundy blowout u can CLEARLY tell there is a difference of shades!

Oops sorry abt the repeat in sentences..aah yet another goof-up!
If it's the exact same picture, they MUST computer generate it...that's interesting.... I noticed in France they have this red color lots of the women wear that has a purple sheen in the light. It's a really common color and it seems to last a long time. I've never found a permanent purple sheened red here in which the purple sheen didn't wash out in a week! I always wondered why we don't seem to have that in the US. Oh well. It's moot for me at this point because my boyfriend's mom has that color and he doesn't like it, so I probably wouldn't choose to get it anyway.

Lol yes it is interesting. That red color sounds neat! I guess the reason might be that they won't be able to market those sort of shall we say, "out-there" colors in the US. Or maybe there's a law on the kind of colors that come on the market, cuz of the possibility of sueing pple, even tho it sounds kinda crazy. But really, who knows?
I have no idea. The odd thing to me is that the red with a purple sheen is most popular (in the places I've seen it in France) on women in the 40-50 age range. I only saw it on a young girl one time. Not considered Out There at all!
