I color my hair at home. I use Garnier Nutrisse. I bought a color chunking kit because I wanted to add some lighter highlights. I was reading the instructions and it said not to use on permanent color because the highlights could color unevenly.
What do you think? Should I take a chance?

The chunking kit won't work because in general, color does not lift color, and it probably isn't strong enough to remove your current permanent color. I agree with Kalika...extension streaks are the easiest way to go.

how do you know that her chunking kit isnt a bleach highlighting kit? many of them these days are..>And if that so--then it will lift her hair...Tru--color will not lift color...So if its hair dye that your intending to use, it wont work...But if its a bleaching kit--it will turn out unevenly...As soon as you apply the bleach it will immediately start to lighten..So by the time you get to the back of your head--the front strands are extremely light and the back strands are only a little bit lighter then your haircolor you started with... Also--Your roots & ends process faster then the rest of your head due to your body heat and your ends are more porous as well..so the roots & ends may turn out yellow while the rest of the strand is orange...its very tricky. You should definantly go to a pro...
