...is just wrong. I died it last year about 12 times red and brown and now it's auburn / red / orange / brown and it was blond :( Now I miss the blond!
Would you reccomend dying over it light brown then adding blond highlights?

In my case i would bleach it and get it blonde, but I am not sure if your hair is resistant enough to withstand teh bleaching process.
mine, is and I bleach it often, it depends on the conditioon of your hair us, anyway I no longer go to salons because i always leave dissatisfied with the work, I trust myself more than anyone with my hair, because I dye it so much that i understand it more than anyone would, but if you do not know how to bleach your hair then you should go to a salon. Good luck in whatever you decide

Everyones hair is different and can withstand different amounts of dye/damage. I have bleached my hair 3 times in one day to go from black to blonde and my hair was fine with it. I got the final result I wanted and knew would happen. Some peoples hair cannot take the chemicals and dying process as much as others. If you do not PERSONALLY know your own hair and how it will do I suggest going to a professional you trust, OR dying all of your hair a brown color that will cover the mess for now giving your hair time to get over the damage already done.
In my experience, so called "PROFESSIONALS" are the ones who do the most damage to peoples hair. If you do decide to go to a professional, make sure you trust that person because they can do more harm that good sometimes. I trust NOBODY and usually never allow anyone to do my hair other than me. I suggest dying it brown, leaving it alone and condition and take care of your hair until it is better. Use Redken Extremem Snap Back to help with the damage and be very careful brushing or combing your broken off hair while wet as it can stratch and break off even more.
I would leave a small amount of condition or use spray leave in condition on your hair for awhile until its in better condition. GOOD LUCK GAL!
