black hair...HELP!!!!

My friend who is a stylist colored my hair trying to take it back to it's natural warm chocolate brown color and now it is black. I just talked to her and she said to wash it with shampoo and dawn soap. I am so upset. I'm 37 and this colr makes me look like 47. She is willing to try and correct it but she is such a long drive from my house. I want to know what I can do to correct this at home. Also if it helps, she had lightened my hair and permed it a couple of months ago and I had about 3 inches of roots showing when she dyed saturday evening and turned black. My hair feels pretty healthy now. What can I do to minimize damage? Thanks so much for your help.

She must've used a shade that was too dark and ur porous hair (from lightening and perming) absorbs the dye a lot, so it turned out black. She should've used a shade two levels above ur target color. Oh well.
Just keep dyeing it black, since there's nothing u can do.
JUST KIDDING!
Go ahead and keep washing it w/ an anti-dandruff shampoo cuz that strips color a great deal. U could try a color remover but remember that is also a harsh chemical treatment OR *now that i know wht it is hehe* ask her to pull it through a soap cap. But if u use colorfix to remove the color then make sure u choose a brown that is two shades lighter than a warm chocolate brown. Esp. when using a demi- or semi- color gloss actually i advise u use this since it doesn't damage the hair but remember it HAS to be two if not three shades lighter I can't stress this enough!!
Also, make sure u deep condition once a week.

You can NOT attempt this at home!!!!
Have your stylist friend help you, she can use a color remover like Clairol's UNcolor for permanent hair which is much more gentle then using bleach.
