I would just like to know the difference between the two extensions, Hairloc's and Euroloc's. Thank you!

There isn't, really... They are owned by the same company. The difference could perhaps be in the hair, but as far as I know it's the exact same method.

Hi Lisa,

Its basically the same method. The difference would be the hair quality. I personally believe the Hairlocs hair is by far superior to Eurolocs or Great Lengths. It all depends on the stylist and the hair the purchase. I have Hairlocs and the hair is fantastic. It still looks like the day I had them put in and were going on 3 months now. I get compliments on its feel and shine all the time.

:)

Hi Lisa. Can you tell me what type of hair you have and if the extensions damage your natural hair? I have baby fine/thin hair that is a little below my ears. It has been getting thinner for the last 10 or 15 years and is now super thin. I'm wondering if hair locs would work for me, but I'm concerned that any extensions might weaken my natural hair. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Beccaland,

I normally have really thick long hair but I was put on a medication about a year ago and my hair started falling out and breaking off. Unfortunately I didn't realize what was messing up my hair so bad until after I had Great Lengths extensions put in. My hair was in such a fragile state that I lost about 40 bonds, and the bonds took my hair out at the root. Needless to say, I now have about half the hair I had originally. Not to say that it was the fault of Great Lengths though. It was really beautiful hair and it looked great. I was only able to keep them in for 2 months though because of all the hair loss (I figured I would be bald by the time I had to have maintenance done). I got off the medication and started taking hair vitamins and waited about 2 1/2 months and just had Hairlocs extensions put in this past Saturday. The application is so much better for your own hair. They use a little copper shell and just clamp it onto your own hair. And when you have maintenance, you can use the same hair and they just open the shell, slide it further up toward your scalp and re-clamp it. With the Great Lengths they had to use acetone (which totally dry's out your hair) and then use a tool to break up the bond and remove the hair (kinda painful and it took 4 hours) with GL you have to purchase new hair every time you have maintenance. I was so concerned about losing more hair and come to find out, they use Hairlocs on alot of Chemo patients. Chemo patients have the most fragile hair around, so I figured I would be ok. So far, so good.

Good luck

Lisa- I work for Hairlocs as their technical support and am also a certified Hairlocs sytlist. If you need any information on Hairlocs and the difference between Hairlocs and Eurlocs. I could explain quite a bit. For instance, Hairlocs only uses 100% full cuticle HUMAN hair from Italy, Spain, and Russia. All of our hair ordered and purchased by our stylist is guaranteed. OUr application method is quite different from Eurolocs. We keep all of our Locs flat to the head so that their are no sharp edges or protusions felt on your head. We also offer four, soon to be five, different sizes of locs and extension strands. All of our locs and hair, when used properly are reusable for upt o three years. If you have any other questions please feel free to call, 877-395-6136
