Hi girls. I'm going to be getting my second round of GreatLengths on Friday and this time she is only charging me $900.00. for 16 in. even though the last time she charged me $1200 for 12 in. I of course, didn't remind her of that! But my question is what to tip on a $900.00 job??? It only took her like 2 hours last time, she's pretty fast about it. suggestions PLEASE!!!!!!!!
hi- not sure what u mean about 2nd round? Anway my hairlocs costed around $1700 for a full head of 16 in long.that included everything- she even bought me lunch and sent me how with shampoo and stuff! i tipped her $175 i go in for maintance every two mths to have the locks moved up-(the hair is reusable) that is $100 per hr- it only takes her about 1-3 hrs to move them up depending on what i need so i tip her around $25-50. she is really a great gal and works fast so the maintance doesnt cost me an arm and a leg. So for the $1200 job-what did u tip. And how often do u get a new set? I would say for a $900 job i would prob tip arund a hundred bucks.
I can NOT remember what I tipped her the last time. I think like $100.00 or $150.00 I just can't remember. I'm getting a full head done but my hair is extremely fine and thin so she doesn't have to order me much, cause the last time she ordered me 5 bundles, there was a lot of leftover hair. I think she said she was going to order 3 or 4 this time? By second round, I mean this is the second time I'm getting them done. I had them last summer, loved them!!! They were in almost 4 months. its taken me this long to get back up the money to do it again.
so each time you get maintance you have to get new hair? hmmmm thats why i love my hairlocs- the hair is reusable for about 9-12 mths!!! So every two mths or so i get maintance which only cost me $100 PER hr- the most i ever paid for maintance was 400 thats was 4 hrs of moving them all up. The quality of the hair is also great. You should check into getting hairlocs girl!! would save you $$ and save your hair from the glue. How does she get the glue out of your hair anyway?
I don't think anyone around my area does Hairlocs. I've never even heard of it til I came on this forum. I'm in the Washington, D.C. area. I would be willing to give hairlocs a try the next time, if anyone does it around here. She takes out my extenions with some solution and some sort of tool, like plyers.
hi- yeah my gal does fly to do hairlocs- she has been flown all over-NYC, kentucky, Vegas and i think Dallas. You should check her out- maybe she could come to you.IT would save you $$ and damage to ya hair too. www.hairlocs.info check out her site. i love my hair- and NO one even knows i have them
