Everyday when I wake up I make this drink for myself. Put the following into a blender and blend for approx. 30 seconds:

- 3/4 glass of milk

- 1 raw egg

- 1 spoonful of wheat germ (or 1 tablespoon of wheat germ oil + 2 tablespoons of wheatgerm)

- a piece of any fruit (I use a big piece of an apple) to sweeten it

I also take a hair supplement called HAIR-FORCE which is made in Canada. I make sure I eat atleast one can of tuna fish every day as well.

I have already noticed after a couple weeks that my hair is shinier + my nails are longer and hopefully I will notice faster hair growth! I have damaged dyed hair that I am trying to make healthy while I grow it out.

Oh... one more note... The wheat germ is RAW, not toasted... If you`re like me and have a hard time consuming raw wheat germ (it gets stuck in your teeth) then this is a good way to get that germ into you.

Hey,

Thanks for the recipe. I do have one question. Is it OK to use a raw egg? I heard that it can be dangeous with ecoli potentials? Yes or no?

I would love to try this drink but am a little chicken about the raw egg. Do you recommend a substitute?

So if you are worried about ecoli or other problems like salmonella you can use powdered or fake eggs like Eggbeaters. They can taste the same. Yes, raw eggs may be a problem but their are options.

I use basically the same recipe except delete the egg and use 1 scoop soy protein(which has no fat and much healthier than raw eggs,IMHO). I also add a some non fat flavored yogurt which makes it thicker. This was a recipe I got from my nutritionist when I became a vegetarian.

Thanks... I will stop using raw eggs and go for soy protein instead... :) Good advice.
