QuoteReplyTopic: Want extensions badly!! Posted: November 09 2004 at 3:05am
Hey all. I live in wisconsin, near the milwaukee area and I've been searching for the best type of undetectable human hair extensions possible for the past year and a half, to no avail. I've spoken to someone about GL, but I was told the crown(???) couldn't be done, which sucks because I have really short hair. I don't think a mullet would fit me...but as I said, I've been researching and reading and experimenting on my own with wefted hair...I got a little desparate. It actuallyl paid off once, the tiny sections I cut the weft into lasted about a month before I decided to take them out. But I'd used that black glue and unfortunately a lot of my hair came out. Side note: I'm black. I hate wefted extensions. They just don't flow naturally. So, now I'm trying to find something that I know I can deal with wearing for 3 to 6 months. So, here are my questions: I've worn glued in weft extensions and I think they are the worst possible technique...does anyone have suggestions? I really liked the dome monofibre technique, but I didn't like the thought of using synthetic hair. Been there done that. Does anyone know of a method similar that invovles human hair? I'm not terribly interested inthe methods that use the tiny bead that clamps the hair in. It sounds simple and good for people with longer hair, but I about 3months of growth from a boycut (think Charlize Theron in the Astronaut's Wife). Does anyone know of any techniques that could possibly be used on my entire head or at least enough of it to make my short hair blend properly? Does anyone know if their suggested techniques are available in the Milwaukee/Madison, Wisconsin or Chicago area?
I know I've ruled out the cinderella, monofibre, GL, and any types that use micro beads to attach or that can't be applied to the crown area, but if anyone knows of any other types that would be awesome. And I also checked out weavemaster's, but I can't remember why I decided against their fusion system.

Hi, I live in England, and the systems that we use are the same as USA. Unfortunately, all systems requires at least 3inches of hair for any type of extension to be attached to. I use Pre-bonded Cinderella hair, as this is the best type available on the market at the moment. It can be styled just as you would your own. And if you need to remove and reapply the hair, then the bonds can be removed and put back into the hair with a gluwe gun. I hope this helps. Nikky, England
