QuoteReplyTopic: Ladies. Take care of extension or look like this. Posted: December 14 2004 at 11:32am
Britney looks a hot mess but I'm talking about the hair. So take care of your extensions. Just because she has millions doesn't mean she's gentle on the hair.
Why she'd go out in public like this, I don't know. I'm not married but I guess it's true what they say about letting yourself go after getting married because this isn't the first time I've seen Brit looking crazy
Yes, Britney looks awful, but sadly--after hairlocs and GLs--my real hair looks much worse than hers. She's actually got some thickness, even though there's tons of breakage. Mine's supershort and thin with only a few sad little wispy strands sticking out. Fortunately, my hair is growing out now, but it's a very slow and painful process....

Awww Jenn_R Sorry to hear about the condition of your hair.
Are you still wearing the extensions? Maybe you should give them a break for about a year.
I recommend hair, skin and nail vitamins to help with the conditon of your hair mainly MSM and Biotin. In addition to laying off the extensions for a minute, try wearing your hair back and wearing a fall where only the front of your hair is out. The look really natural.
Also take some pictures of your hair so you can see the progress. It's a confidence booster when you can actually see progress.
Good Luck!

Thanks, Afropuffs; that's very sweet. I am wearing extensions, braided ones, now, and my hair seems to be growing much better these days. At some point, I'll probably take them out and wear a fall or something, but at this point, it's still too short to do that effectively. But I definitely feel like my hair is finally growing for the first time in a while, and the braids look good, so I'm pretty happy. I'll definietly look into the vitamins and maybe even start taking pictures.
***Sorry about the double R; I keep forgetting my password.

Looks like extensions damage to me, combined with bleaching/coloring. Britney has thin, fine hair to begin with, and she's worn various kinds of extensions for about 99% of her career thus far. Add that to the fact that when she's on tour, her hair's being yanked around every which way by stylists, and that's pretty much what you get. I've seen pictures of Lisa Kudrow, Pam Anderson, and Courtney Love without their extensions, and their hair looks quite similar. :)
I used to love Britney but I have always thought that her hair extensions were very poor, I'm not sure who her stylist is but her hair always looks fake, cheap and the colour is totally mismatched, you'd think a girl with so much cash in her bank she could afford a good set of extensions. Ditch the trashy/homeless look Brits it's not happening, and as for your hair- invest in a good conditioner and an expensive wig.
