So, I know it's fusion but I would like to know what kind.... This girl came in to see me tonight and this is what her hair looked like. She said they came in pre-bonded pieces and her stylist cut them in half before he put them on. The fusion glue looks white in color on the blonde bonds but brown on the brown bonds.

I am wondering all of this for two reasons, first because she had No damage that I could see and they have been in for 2 1/2 months, and second becuse the hair was good quality. She said she thought the name was "Scrooples" or something like that....

Anyone know what they could be????

Man. Kudos for her for no damage and good hair. Those are 2 1/2 months along? They look fabulous. She really takes care of it, you can tell.

Cinderella bonds are huge where you have to snip off half of it but they don't turn white like that. There's so many prebonded strands out offered by different place, I really have no idea.

I Googled real quick but I can't find anything by that name or different variations of the spelling. Can she call her stylist and ask tomorrow or on Monday maybe?

You've got me. I never heard of anything like that name. I thought they were actual fusion fusion (not pretipped fusion) because of the size. I know some people cut great lengths in half, but it doesn't look like GLs. Did you post on Quinn's?

I am some what familiar w/ the fusion method, and I don't think they look too small to be pre-tipped

Yeah, I had to re-read that post, then edit my own because I didn't realize Kristin said they were pretipped and cut in half. Time for me to go to sleep, I think....:)

Yeah I'm going to try to get a hold of her stylist tomorrow or next week.... I tried taking one out with acetone and it came right out.... I guess that's a good thing (I didn't try any vegi-oil or anything). She was just in for a consultation and won't take them all out till she comes in to have a full head done.

Hmmmm.... If anyone else has any input on this I'd love to know....

Thanks,
Kristin

One more thing... Her friend came in to see me last week, they both have the same extensions done by the same guy and they both look beautiful! I got more curious when I saw two girls getting such great results with no breakage! I wish I had pix of the other girl's... She has had them in longer and is ready for a full take down and re-do... When she comes in I'll take a picture of those ones and post it in this thread...

Anyone hear of this one?

http://www.hairxtend.com/our_hair.html

"This is because we do not use fancy machines, heating irons nor any other kind of tool to bond the hair, but rather a skilfull manual application using a soft silicon pad that does not stress one's hair."

"a soft silicon pad"????

Kristin - are you going to do the take down and re-do w/ shrinkies? did she mention why she didn't go back to the man stylist that did them? I hope you can get a hold of him and he spills the juice!

no, she wants fusions which I also do. She doesn't want to go back to that guy because she's been paying about $1200 for them. She's seen my work and knows I only charge $500... a much better deal

wow, $500 is pretty cheap - especially for CA area, does that include the hair too??

do you use the same heating tool for the fusion as you do with the shrinkies? do you order your shrinkies from dr locs? just curious...

Emma, that first site is for people who are balding. The hairpiece is taped to the bare scalp with stickytape. The other one is different, but they don't really say how they attach it.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
