I have experience with plastikhaar, thermofibre and simple kanekalon. I think plastikhaar is extremly nice. Maintaining straight seems easier than maintaining curled hair. I have had some thermofibre but I am not quite satisfied, because it is too soft, too fine and too limp for me. But you can colour it, it might match very nice with baby soft hair, and it stays soft for quite a while.
Some spots all synthetics get really very quickly ratty, if the hair is curly and exposed to condioners, some chemicals might attack these fibres. Expensive thermofibre did not last much longer plastikhaar and the first two weeks after application I like plastikhaar much better. The more protected places can stay beautiful for several weeks. It also depends on how thick a streak is. Thick streaks get quickly ratty, very fine streaks can last endlessly.
I“d like to try some Prohair/Prostyles or Dome streaks on the more exposed spots on my head to see if it is more resistant. I can send in exchange some thermofibre weft, plastikhaar and also afro shop kanekalon or shrinkies without glue. I am from Europe.
