How do you lengthen short hair at the nape? I thought of using the fusion method but you would have to do all the hair around the nape and ears to be able to pull it up in a pony tail and even then you would see the bonds. How do you guys handle clients with short hair? And if you do the fusion method, what kind of adhesive do you use?
Hmmm.... I don't know if it would be wise to do extensions right on the nape. Generally, I think that the hair should be left free 1/2 inch from all the hair lines, even if it is shorter than the rest. :)
Yep Jennys right you need to leave 1/2 around all hairlines. I even have to go a little more than that with fine hair. Ive never had a problem with ponytails. That little bit of hair usually pulls right up with the rest of the hair. We all have little 'baby hairs' along the hair lines anyway, so what hair doesnt go up in the pony, or falls down around the nape looks natural.
