I have ten highlight strands of human hair held in by microrings. All the supplies are from Doc Locs. Well, after three weeks in, one of them finally slipped a bit after washing. I took it out (I'm taking them all out next week anyway so I can dye) and noticed that the pre-tip bond at the top of the strand was about halfway gone.
Is this normal with microrings? Shrinkies? I don't know if the ring ruined the bond, or just shampoo over time hurt it. It may also have to do with whatever substance was used to tip the hair in the first place. I don't mind retipping them a bit before reinstallation...I just need to go get some fusion glue.
Hiya. It's absolutely normal for the bond to come apart and especially under a crushing type pressure of a microring. If the hair is still good, simply retip and you can put it right back in.
