I recently received a brouchure from red salon source and their fill in extension system looks very intersting. Has anyone tried this method, I registered on their site over the weekend and I have not received confirmation so I can not order from their website. Does anyone know if their is another maker of this type of extension system and if so, can you please post their website.

For those of you not familiar with the fill in system, it looks like a small weft of hair that is attached with microrings (I was going to try shrinkies) about every two inches to hold it on. It looks like it wouldnt create alot of damage. And since I have been wearing fusion extensions for a few months my hair is extremely thin and I am having a hard time attaching more hair.

I don't know much about Red Source, except that I thought their system was Balmain (a fusion method). If so, I haven't heard the best things, but what you're describing sounds quite different. Hmmm.... :)

Hmmm. I'm not familiar with the brand at all, but I do that technique all the time. Matter of fact, DrLocks has a tutorial for DIYing it here: http://drlocks.net/microring_demo.htm

Though every two inches is way too far apart- that'll put too much stress on too little hair. I put them an inch apart, and have been toying with the idea of putting them closer.

How much are they charging for this "system"? It shouldn't be too much. You can get the same thing pre-made from American Dream, or DIY by buying a weft of the hair of your choice and sewing the rings on yourself. Takes less than an hour.

I haven't heard the best things about Balmain--the quality of the hair and the installation method. But I'm glad to hear that you like them. :)
