Great Lengths only distributes to the company's licensed, certified extensionists, but these were the prices they were charging their stylists the last I heard:
18"-$2.80 per strand
20"-$3.40 per strand
24"-$3.90 per strand

If you know someone who does the method, you may be able to get the hair through them, but otherwise, I'd look into some other kind of hair.

:)

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! I know this site and have ordered clip-on wefts from them. It was my very first experiences with hair extensions and I thought that all extensions tangle in a HUGE knot when you wash them. I now realize that this hair has the cuticle not in the same direction, plus it is most likely coated with something. This hair has the WORST matting I have ever seen and only really lasts for a few weeks (3 at the most). The first time I washed this hair it tangled. I have ordered twice from this company and both were the same (off of Ebay because she also sells there). Like I said before it was my first time with extensions and I did not know any better; I was just so excited to have the length. I do not know anything about the GL she sells only the clip-on wefts and I ordered the Indian hair.

Yeah so what, Jenny posts ALOT on this board, she has contributed a huge amount of information here. To be totally honest she is a big part of why this board has became such a great resource in the past few months. She probably has done more research and has more knowledge on the subject than anyone here, or most anywhere. When she answered this post she didnt say anything negative about GL just stated what she knew, so I dont see that it was a problem.

If you want to pretip your own hair, there are many options. It really just depends on what kind of hair you want and how much you want to pay. Here's a list of online sellers of hair and supplies available to the public:

I find it hard to believe that a "professional" would've recommended the links that Tia suggested above. First off, the poster said she was interested in doing the tipping herself. Why on earth would she order prebonded strands like Cinderella? And one of Tia's links is to a salon...how is the poster going to order hair from there? You even suggested that the public could order hair direct from GLs...whhaaatttt?

Clearly, Tia, you are a newbie where extensions are concerned. If it's true that you've been lurking here for awhile, you clearly haven't learned much. This just goes to show that anyone with a fusion wand, a few dollars, and a dream can get certified--no knowledge of extensions required.

And if your basis for saying GLs is the best is that it's better-quality hair than Cinderella or Mega, well, congratulations. That's an amazing insight. I think that's only been said about 1,000 times on this board by various people, including me. That does not, by any means, make GLs "the best" in this world or any other.

You're obviously unfamiliar with the various kinds of hair on the market and the numerous, and very different, methods of attachment. You haven't tried shrinkies, extendtubes, microrings, locs/links, the Hairpolice method, all the various forms of weaving, or heat-sealed synthetic. So you are in no position to make these ridiculous bold claims or, God knows, be giving advice to people.

With this, I am truly done. This is my last post to you, Tia, because you're wasting everyone's time and you're way out of your depth here.
