I heard you make your own clip-in extensions. Can I sew on clips to hand-tied wefts?

Hi,

I posted this under the other topic, but here it is:

I have made many a clip in with hand tied wefts.

First of all, I decide how many of the hand tied wefts I want to use to make each track. I usually take 3 and sometimes 4 of them (I like to wear a lot of hair) and zig zag stitich them together on the sewing machine.

I also decide how wide I need the track, and as you know, those hand tieds usually come in 10" wide pieces. So, to make my top tracks which are 12" wide, before I zig zag stitch them I stagger the hand tied pieces to achieve the length that I want. Hope this makes sense.

That does cause a little more bulkiness, but not bad. Because of the zig zag stitching, there is something more sizable to sew the clips into.

I like hand tied because I it doesn't shed. However, my current clips in are machine wefted, and I zig zag stitich over each one 3 times, so it hardly sheds at all after that
