Jenny, Tangling ?

Hey Kim,

No problems so far, and definitely no frizz. The hair is holding up well, and hasn't tangled much at all. I've been gently detangling twice daily with a wide-tooth comb, starting at the bottom and working upward, but it's really no big deal--it doesn't take long because it isn't knotty. I sleep with it in a low bun (for some reason, I prefer to do that than the braid).

At this point, I'd say it's much less tangly than the human hair I usually get, but I haven't washed it or anything yet and I've only had it for two days, so they jury's still out.... :)

UPDATE: Still going strong after 48 hours. Hair looks the same, and isn't tangling much at all--and it was superwindy today. I got caught in the rain, actually, and the hair got slightly damp, but it doesn't really absorb water and kept its shape quite nicely. Tomorrow morning, I'll summon up the energy to wash this stuff for the first time and will post pics so you can see the progression. :)

Yeah, it's interesting: The synth hair really doesn't do that. It doesn't seem to frizz, either, although I know that the ends do get frizzy after awhile.

Another observation: This hair is definitely heavier than most human (a silky brand such as Bohyme, for example). I've never had it this long before or quite this thick, I don't think, but even if you feel the samples, you can sort of feel that it's thicker hair. I love this, of course, because one of the biggest problems I had with human hair was that it was too thin. And I'm not really trying to "match" my hair texture-wise. I'd much rather have thick, volumunous extensions than a headful of thin hair (which has been plaguing me all my life). But it's definitely something to keep in mind. I'd always heard that human hair was heavier, but I'm not finding this to be the case thus far.

LOL!!! The hair hasn't caused any major accidents yet, but I'll keep you posted.

This morning I'm washing it....crossing my fingers... :)

We'll see in about a half hour, lol! I think I can blow-dry it somewhat as long as I keep the dryer moving. I'm planning to air-dry it as much as possible, though. :)

I'm kinda "out there" and in general worry about being too wacky for most people. . .but I've gotten to the point at the rip old age of 41. . .well, "I yam what I yam", and, I hate to say it, I'm havin' a darn good time.

I LOVE IT! I'm 42 and a "hair slave" to my 14 year old daughter. I'm a bit off to left field myself. I love a kindred spirit with a bit of spice and a shot of caffeine. LOL

And now for something completely different:
My daughter and I talk more when I'm doing her hair. (Think of the conversations youhave with your stylists.) If I act like I'm enjoying myself (which I am) she'll probably stop asking, so I grumble and gripe a bit. (Sneaky aren't I) Also, she knows that she has to be nice to mom, if she wants her hair done.

She wants to be an independent and free-spirited person. I want her to be that person, without going to extremes that will have long-term effects. (She once asked me to dye her hair black. She has natural gold-blonde hair to her waist. I bought her a wig to try and after a few days she hated how she looked. PHEW!!)

Since I started doing this, she's been much happier and her friends are jealous as heck. She's planned her "hair" for the next 3 months, so I have my work cut out for me. LOL

I love this forum with all it's plethora of information and camaraderie.
