I ordered hand-tied and am preparing to sew on the clips for when it ships to me. I have a few questions. In a past post you wrote:

those hand tieds usually come in 10" wide pieces. So, to make my top tracks which are 12" wide, before I zig zag stitch them I stagger the hand tied pieces to achieve the length that I want. Hope this makes sense.

I ordered a 1/4 ounce of hand-tied. How many pieces of weft should I get?

Will they all be 10 inches wide?

What did you mean by staggering the hand-tied pieces to achieve the length you want??

If I want more width of the track, so that it fits all the way around my head, and the width of each track is 10 inches, if I were to attach two together, it would come out to 20 inches wide which is way too wide for my head and I am assuming I would have to fold over the ends and sew them folded because I can't cut them. But wouldn't this be wasting hair that I could have used for other parts of my head?? Is there another way to do this??

I'm guessing what you ordered was 1/4 pound, not ounce.

Quote ill they all be 10 inches wide?

That's what the site says.

Quote hat did you mean by staggering the hand-tied pieces to achieve the length you want??

Sew three together end-to-end. This gives you a single thickness piece 30" long. Put a 12" ruler in the middle to use as your guide. You will have a 12" section in the middle, and a 9" section on either end. Fold each end section over towards the middle and overlap, so you have a six inch section in the middle that is triple thickness.

Sew it all together with a needle and thread and tiny stitches.

Sew on your clips by sewing through the little holes you'll see in them.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Each hand tied weft weighs 1/2 ounce, so if you ordered a 1/4 pound, you'll get 8 hand tied wefts.

When I an preparing to sew my wefts, I first figure out how many of the hand tied wefts I want per track. I usually have 3-4 per track. (I wear 8 ounces of hair, that's 16 hand tied wefts)

Then I lay one out on the table and I layer the others over that and stagger them so the whole thing will be 12" wide. However you want to stagger it is fine, whether it's folding ends over or whatever, it doesn't really matter.

Then I prefer to take the staggered pieces to my sewing machine and zig zag stitch it once or twice. Then sew your clips on.
