I've had acne all my life(I am 14) and as the years go by,it worsens.See,when I was younger,I had it on my chin and nose.Then it spread to my whole face!And I have on my back too..Yech!

I am using a cream given to me by my doctor,but it does not really seem to work.I've also tried these Biore cleansing products...But nothing!

I do have oily skin(around my nose,skin,and forehead).But the skin dries easily...And can start flaking sometimes(especially in the winter)

My face is full of blackheads,and a few pimples too.

OK Blue.....And I refuse to add the freak part...Quit calling yourself names, it's a bad habit...give yourself a break. Every thought about yourself counts. Ok Lecture over.........You can tell me to shut up anytime you want.

This might sound like a strange home remedy but I'm giving it to you anyway because it has worked so well for my daughter .

Ask your Mom to help you if you want;

Here is what you will need;

Honey
Sugar..brown and white.
Toothpaste...any thing peppermint

If you can...and you can find this at health food store or even at the hairboutique marketplace...???
**essential oils;
rosemary or teatree essential oils & (or both)
peppermint essential oil

You will need a mixer.

In a bowl mix;

1/2 cup wht sugar
1/2 cup brn sugar
2 full tablespoons toothpaste.
3 tablespoons honey

(Start mixing...you may need more honey, get it to the consistency that you can work with)...It needs have sort of a stiff sticky feel to it.

Add 30 drops tea tree or rosemary...
10 drops peppermint.

This is your cleanser, use it religiously.
Once in the morning & Once at night before bed.
( this is very important....every single day...if you skip even one day you will notice blemishes start up again)

Works great in the shower (a little messy) or

Wet your hands and face, scoop about a nickel size blob out rub onto your wet face in gentle****GENTLE CIRCULAR MOTIONS*** don't rub too hard, you don't need to be raw.

Do another nickel size if you need it.

After you have it all over your face, you can get benefits from letting it set on your face for 3 minutes, like a mask.

Splash water or use a very wet wash cloth to dissolve and gently remove...get it all...it can be messy especially in your hair line.

NOTE: If you feel too red or it irritates stop...make sure it is right for you...

Kiss MY Face has a daily 8% Alfa-Hydroxy moisturizer....if you can find that....It's very light and the Alfa-Hydrox. Acid is very a very important part of this routine...I will give you a web site to find that if you like...

It costs about $8...call around to your local Health food store for that also...Or ask Check the HB Market place....If they don't have the cream you want, ask if they can get it for you.

I will get back to you with the exact name of the product if you are interested......If you can't find it E-me and I will make sure you can find it.

I had the same problem and I know how you feel. It is just terrible but (and I know this won't make you feel better right now) some day you will bless your oily skin. I suffered terribly with acne but now at 46 people still think I am in my late twenties (these are the nearly blind ones) to early thirties. We just don't get wrinkles.

But to address your current problem, go to a dermatologist if you can. I had the best results with using a regimen of RetinA and benzoylperoxide (one in the morning and the other at night). It will make your face (and other acne prone areas) red and maybe even peely at first but that subsides after the first week or two and then you are fine. It literally wiped the acne off my face totally in about six weeks and nothing else had, not even oral antibiotics. You can get RetinA on the web without a perscription but you will have to pay full price for it and if you have a perscription card it is a lot cheaper. I STILL use it although now it is for wrinkle control.

My 16 year old began breaking out badly a few months ago and she wanted to try this stuff that I bought for her on the web that they deliver automatically every six weeks called ProActiv and it really worked for her. She was completely clear within about three weeks. And she liked it better because she didn't have the drying affect.

So there are options. Check the web and see what works best for you and don't worry. It will go away!!

Oh and one more thing, stay out of the sun. I had unbelieveably horrible acne outbreaks three times between the ages of 14 and 23 and I figured out that each one was right after I had gotten a really good tan and then the tan faded. My daughter had the same thing happen to her. I think the tan thickens your skin a bit and the oil can't get out and you end up with a bad breakout.

Without seeing you, and knowing what you use daily on your skin, and not being a dermatologist, here's some advice. This is coming from an acne prone gal here. When I hit my 20's, it didn't go away like everyone said it would! Grrr...so I had blemishes for my wedding. But now, I discovered a skincare line that I swear by. (Mary Kay)
First, you need to cleanse, exfoliate, freshen, moisturize and protect your skin twice a day! That's morning and night, religiously .I only get blemishes now if I don't wash my face before I go to bed. Even once!
The dry patches you experience with oily skin is common if you are not exfoliating regularly. You can do this daily if your cleanser has very gentle granules, or weekly with a mask for oily skin. The dead skin cells build up on your skin, and the oil that is produced just kind of pastes the dead skin on into layers. (if that makes sense)
Proactiv is good from what I've heard. MK makes a product called Velocity that is supposed to be great for oily skin. I've heard of one teenage boy that switched from Proactiv to it, and loves it. :)
Good luck!

I had it all from head to toe full body acne. I started birth control and the cream Ritn-a (however you spell it) Now I am 21 and stopped both now it is coming back. Your best bet is to talk to your dr and see what they say. I was told the proactive works good.... if you have the money for it.

But Kid give yourself a beak looks are not everything..... not everyone can be a model, just be yourself.

Proactiv works great for some but not others.
I have oily skin and I break out a lot as an adult, I never did as a teen.
If you can't see a dermatologist and get special medical creams you could try one of the acne treatment lines on the market.
If you find that Proactiv doesn't work for you (it has benzoil peroxide) try a product with salicylic acid or Alpha & Beta Hydroxy acids.
Benzoil peroxide is no good for my skin, it doesn't make blemishes go away for me, it just dries out the surface layer on top of the acne. Salicylic acid and the AHA and BHA work much better.
The worst thing you can do is scrub your skin (makes acne spread on some people) and use too many products, or switch from product to product too much. Try to be patient and give one thing a try at a time.
I am always battling this myself these days.
I will let you know if I find something really wonderful.
Information is the key to making good decisions - share what you know with others.

Think of what your diet consists of. I had acne for a while or a spots left from it and I went to the doctor and they just kept giving me medicine with no results. If you are young acne is going to happen. But mine got worse until I hit 21. I found out drinking soda was a problem for me and my skin reacted by leaving acne scars. So I cut down on soda and drink lots of water. Actually, I haven't drunk any soda for a year now just juice and LOTS of WATER Now I have black soap delivered here it works well. I wash it on my face every night before I go to bed and put some shea butter on my face as well. I started this 2 weeks ago and I can see even better results after using those and drinking water .

Yes, I believe in inner and outer skin care!

Hi I’m 38 years old and refuse to go into my 40’s with bad skin. I found this product on-line called Naturally Clear an Aloe Vera skin care product that works!http://www.naturallyclear.com.

I been to the doctors nothing cleared up my pimples or my blemishes. This product is two steps facial cleaning and skin care vitamins. I’ve seen results in 2 weeks, it's going on 3 months now. I've been using Naturally Clear for 3 months now. People think I'm wearing makeup, I don’t wear makeup, I like showing my natural skin. I will not use anything else but Naturally Clear. Several girlfriends have ordered Naturally Clear and it's working for them also. Before I came across this product I would not go out and socialize.

Love the skin I’m in!

I feel your pain. I started getting whiteheads around 12, which were followed by pimples for years until my dr controlled it. My pediatrician tried to treat my acne for years, and it really didn't improve until I saw a dermatologis. My dermatologist told me the greatest thing, he said "today we have so many products availible, there is no reason we cannot cure every case of acne, it may just take time to find the right product."
I have personally tried proactiv which isn't too expensive, and the drug store knock off which was equally as good, and I know a lot of teens who have great successes with it. I used retin a at night with a prescription benzoil product that had to be refrigerated, I've had oral drugs like pennicillan to treat it, and I took acutane twice. The acutane gave me the greatest results, but all the others each improved it a little.
Please don't be embarassed about your acne, it happens to almost everyone, just beg your parents to get you to see a dermatologist and try new products until you find the one that works for you. You will evenutally have clear perfect skin.
